about the contest
In 2008 we had a wonderful turnout for out for our first year of the competition and a cool write up about the calendar contest in the Fairbanks Daily News Miner. In 2009 we received more GREAT photos —enough to three calendars filled with dogs enjoying life in the Interior.
Each dollar of the competition funds the continued development of the Fairbanks Dog Park and community outreach activities. In 2009, the fence for the off-leash area went up at the new South Davis park. Future projects will include fenced event and small /shy dog areas, covered meeting areas, constructed entrance arch and sign board, watering area, lighting for winter use and many other improvements.
